The D/26 spherical transducer is
a versatile design providing omni-directional transmit
and receive characteristics over a frequency band of
20 kHz to 40 kHz.
The all moulded construction coupled with the inherent
strength of the PZT ceramic sphere achieves a robust,
lightweight and corrosion free design making it the
ideal choice as a high power projector.
Electrical connection to the transducer is by a
screened twisted pair cable with an extruded polyurethane
outer jacket. This enables the systems engineer to
configure the transducer directly into customised
equipment packages using simple moulding techniques.
The D/26 is available with or without calibration.
All calibrations are traceable to National Standards.
Broadband Version
The D/26 can be supplied with passive matching networks
designed to improve the overall frequency response.
The combination of transducer and matching can
achieve a 3dB bandwidth from 22 kHz to 42 kHz.
